PCSOs Attend STICKS 'N' STONES FESTIVAL |
||
|
PCSO Pearson, PCSO Hendrie and PCSO Johnson were pleased to attend the recent Sticks and Stones Festival, where they spent the day engaging with members of the local community and a wide range of organisations and stall holders present at the event.
Throughout the festival, the team visited and spoke with numerous stall holders, learning more about the services and support available within our communities. The information and materials gathered will help officers better signpost and support members of the public who may require assistance in the future.
Our police stall proved popular with visitors of all ages. Officers had the opportunity to engage with a large number of attendees, offering advice, answering questions and discussing local policing matters. A particular highlight for younger visitors was our fingerprint activity, with 48 children's fingerprints taken as part of a fun and engaging keepsake activity.
We were also pleased to provide a range of free crime prevention and engagement materials, including personal safety alarms, police recruitment information, and colouring sheets for young children attending the event. Visitors were also given the opportunity to experience what it is like behind the wheel of a marked police vehicle, with both children and adults enjoying the chance to look inside and learn more about the equipment officers use while on duty.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with us, took part in our activities, and helped make the day such a success. Community events such as the Sticks and Stones Festival provide a fantastic opportunity to strengthen relationships, promote local support services, and engage with residents in a positive and welcoming environment.
